Why I love Texas

I love Texas and I love living in Texas. I believe that Texas is the most beautiful state. I don’t think that people can say that they don’t like Texas or that its ugly until they have seen all of it. In Texas, or at least where I like to be in Texas, is where everybody knows you and will help you when you need it. You can tell me you don’t like Texas after you have caught trout in Port A, floated down the Brazos, climbed enchanted rock, spent an evening at the Riverwalk, gone to Llano and eaten Cooper’s Bar-B-Q, and have gone to the Houston and San Antonio rodeos. You can’t say that Texas is ugly until you have seen a hill country sunset, seen a Corpus sunrise, seen the change of weather in Lubbock, hiked through Big Bend, and seen an El Paso sunset. There is a special feeling when you go through a little town where you know everyone and everyone has your back. One thing I love about Texas is that you can get wonderful Bar-B-Q in just about any town you go to. A few things you need to do are looking at the bluebonnets in the summer, see the cotton fields in the fall, and see the windfarms right before you reach the coast. If you don’t love Texas or aren’t proud to live in Texas, then by all means, go somewhere else.
