Pre comps can be a stressful and anxious time for any one (especially any new sixth graders) but if you follow these tips, it can be a breeze!
Don’t cram- Make sure to always start studying ahead of time that way you can weed out your weaknesses early so you know what you need to work on.
Go to student hours- Once you know what you don’t know, source your answer directly from your teacher. By doing this, you ensure yourself that you know fully well the extent of your questioned topic.
Don’t allow distractions- One problem with repetitive studying is all the distractions that can throw you off your game. Try to get your work done in an area with little going on so you can hone all of your attention on studying.
Sleep! - Sleep is essential in making sure the pre comps go smoothly. By giving your brain a full night’s rest, it’s sure to remember a lot more information and perform better during the exam. In addition to this, you feel more awake and prepared for the exam if you got good sleep the night before.
Relax- Don’t try to cram last minute notes in the five minutes before the test. Use that time to mentally prepare and calm yourself. By telling yourself you can do it, you are bound to succeed.
By following these steps, any student should be able to rock their pre comps and know they can achieve their farthest goals!
