Mrs. Palmer Break the Stress Week Break the Stress Week kicks off on January 30th. Events scheduled during that week are intended to re lieve students of the st ress of studying for precomps. For the first event will be hosted by Delta Pet Partners of San Antonio. The event is designed to help students reduce stress by interacting with trained registered therapy dogs while at school. All 6th through 11th grade students are invited! A permission slip is required in order to participate. Permission slips are due by January 25th.
Ms. Ervin Open Mic Night Do you have a standup sketch, song, or poem you'd like to perform? We are looking for acts to perform during the Open Mic Night on February 3. Anyone interested in learning more needs to speak to Ms. Ervin and get their act approved before January 30.
Mr. English National Geography Bee 5th-8th graders, ready to test your Geography Knowledge?! We're looking for@ least 6 students to participate in the Geography Bee on January 24th. The Geo Bee will be afterschool and there is a $5 fee to participate. Fee may be added on SMART for Charters.
Mrs. Boyd PREP Document Request Deadline Are you applying to PREP? All requests for PREP are due by Today. Any requests for PREP documents submitted after that date will not be fulfilled. Please make sure you've indicated all corresponding materials needed on the online form.
Dr. Hamilton 3rd place chess team at state Congratulations to our chess team for taking third at the TSCAAL state meet in Austin this Saturday. Congratulations to Venkata Pullabhotla for his first place finish and to Krishna Kurung for his second place finish.
2nd place UIL team at Hobby Congratulations to the UIL team for taking second place at Hobby this Saturday. Congratulations to Aanika Porras for first place finishes in 6th grade science, maps graphs and charts, and dictionary skills. Congratulations to Keira Clements for a first place 6th grade finish in history (fifth grader beats cities 6th graders). Congratulations to Allen Liang for first place seventh grade finishes in number sense, calculator, Maps Graphs and Charts, and history. Congratulations to Colin Perera for first place seventh grade finishes in science and math. Congratulations to John Piwinski for first place eighth grade finish in science.

PLAYOFF ACTION BEGINS TONIGHT AT 5:00PM FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS AGAINST KIPP CAMINO AND OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS 'A' TEAM PLAYS THEIR FIRST GAME AT 7:30 AT GEORGE GERVIN ACADEMY.
