Spring Formal

Last Saturday was BASIS’s first Spring Formal. It was held at the Eilan Hotel and Spa which was, in my opinion, one of the nicest places in San Antonio. Outside was perfect for taking pictures because of the gorgeous view. You could see Six Flags and La Cantera. There was an endless buffet of smoothies provided. The guy stood in the back just making smoothie after smoothie after smoothie, and there was a cool photobooth decorated with streamers, balloons, and ribbons. The photobooth was very popular. Everyone was taking pictures in it, including chaperones.

Mr. King was the DJ. He played a good variety of music that everyone could dance to, and he is usually a pretty good DJ. There was not one song that students could not dance to. Since the music never stopped, neither did the students. Everyone danced and sang along to the music, and no matter what, people were having fun hanging out with their friends. Grades 8th through 10th were dancing together. It’s BASIS, so most of the grades just mix together.
